First I was using Firmware 2.42 connected to my 8mbit line.. I was only getting 2mbit from any computer connected to the router but I was getting the full 8 when line directly connected to my box. So I upgradeded the firmware to 2.70 (the latest version) and now I am able to get a max output of 5.5mbit or so from any computer I test from. I am testing using the ethernet ports, not wifi.. using CAT5e cable. I'm guessing this router is just a piece of junk or crapping out on me. It doesnt disconnect or have any other issues. And its not a problem with another computer using data while I am running a line test as all other connections are disconnected while I'm running the test. I can't think of anything else to try.. any suggestions?

Unfortuantely I cannot give you any specs on that specific routers capacity, but can only say that maybe you are just reaching it's processing power.

If there is an option to turn off SPI and any rules, do it and see what happens.

If you want a faster router, let us know so we can recommend some to you
