I f'n hate DHL. They have the worst most inconsiderate drivers for their shitty little vans. I've been cut off by those fuckers more times than I can remember. I've never had that problem with UPS or Fedex.

I'm glad they are pulling out.

No CDL required for the vans = drivers don't give a shit.

fedex doesnt require cdl either....

I worked for DHL for a year or so in the late 80's. What a bunch of jack offs. They bought out Airborne Freight Corp a few years ago too. Hate to see people lose their jobs but having worked for both, good riddance. And whomever chose those color schemes for their corporate logos should be shot and painted yellow.

depressing meeting, time to find new work. IT industry doesnt look as bad as it did the last recession at least.

They are pretty much pulling out of the domestic market and sticking with international only which is their strong point.

Well...I like DHL just because Dell used them. It was handy because they have a drop box a couple of buildings over. When I had to return hard drives or RAM, I didn't have to deal with scheduling pickups. I never had a complaint with the drivers here.

I ordered something from Newegg and they used DHL. A small usb drive from NJ to NYC took 4 days. On the 3rd day, they just dropped it off to USPS to do the last step. This is just too slow.

DHL is great for international. That's their strength and I can see why they're focusing on that. People just don't realize how nasty this recession/depression is going to be. It will last years and we're just starting it. It's going to get much uglier in the coming months. Brace yourselves.

Crap, I was wondering why my delivery status said "tendered to USPS" today. I ordered a faster 8gb microSD for my Storm--somebody better deliver it tomorrow as promised!

I'm happy DHL is dead. Those asshats were joking how they were just about to "steal" my 32'' lcd that they said they tried to deliver but never did. Good riddance!

I used to work for the 4th biggest customer of then Airborne express.

I guess that is going to be a big shock to them when they shut down.

DHL was great for me when shipping small packages anywhere foor peanuts nexxt day air.

We ship out about 10-20 DHL packages a day and UPS is about 20% more (we actually do more with UPS) so this will be kinda interesting.

now they are not buying anything. another rumor. DHL is way bigger than UPS or Fedex when you look on a world wide scale.

DHL was always so much faster than Fedex or UPS for me. :(

Even though they beat the crap out of your package with a baseball bat

I ship a ton nationally and have never had an abused DHL package. UPS to our Mesa and NJ locations rarely arrived without major box damage.
