DHL is 0 for 2 with me right now... Two packages lost this year

I've used DHL twice this year....

First package was lost for a month, turned up a month after the estimated delivery date in multiple pieces. 🙁

Second package has been missing since thursday, they aren't sure where it is currently at, was supposed to be delivered last friday.

🙁

Edit: It's lost between Sort Facilities (Atlanta & Charlotte) and I am the shipper.

Same thing happened to me about a month ago with DHL. They delivered it to the wrong house, even though that house has a huge sign with the address on it which isn't even close to my number. Fortunately I have honest neighbors.

my package which was shipped from west LA to the inland empire (about 1 hr) got diverted to ohio over the weekend. i have no idea where it is right now.

I had DHL drop off a new XBOX a few weeks ago. Lucky for me I was at home and outside. The two women who delivered it said they wouldn't get out of their van initially because they didn't want to chance being bit by my dog. My dog is a 15 pound, 12-year old American Eskimo who was sleeping the grass towards the back of my house. What the hell were they scared of?

The real reason they wouldn't get out was because it was sprinkling.

ok ok, i adjusted the title to reflect some form of optimism.

On another note, its STILL missing 🙁

Fuck DHL

DHL sucks. Last time someone used them on me they swore they delivered the package, but I never got it. They said tough luck so I had to go dispute the charges via my AMEX.

Four weeks later the package was mysteriously at my door, unopened.

Fuck DHL

instead of whining... do something!

figure out why DHL cant find your house..eh?

Do you live on a paved road? IE not some back-ass gravel road names Bob's Road?
Does your address appear correctly if you search it on MSN, Mapquest, etc?
Do you have a real 911 approved address also listed correctly with the Post Office? Not some bogus PO box...
Please check all these items with a)the entity shipping your packages (some of them auto correct addresses) b)DHL etc.

Ok, sao, I'm the shipper and it's lost between sort facilities.

dhl is by far the worst, I use fedex all the time but someone sent something to me via dhl for the first time ever last year. It was a beautiful one of a kind print from a chicago skyscraper in black and white and framed. I missed the first two delivery attempts and called them to pick it up (since both ups and fedex try three times before sending back) and they had already sent it back and the guy said he never got it back. Thanks dhl, go fuck yourselves.

Agreed. DHL is the worst.

DHL delivered my laptop to a wrong address. The people that signed for it, tore open the packaging, and then had DHL pick it back up. DHL then delivered my laptop to my house, with the box torn open, and left it at my front door. They didn't ring the doorbell, or have me sign for the package. :|

we recently switch from fedex to DHL at work and I can confirm that DHL is horrible. However, having worked at RPS (which was purchased by fedex i think) in college, I can also confirm that they all suck.

This has got to be in advocacy to DHL actually being talked about as better than the other carriers lately.

We send out a few 1000 packages a day. Personally I have a few coming and going business / personal everyday.

Worst by far is UPS, they will damage and item and make you fight to get it paid out. FedEx has always paid claims on their damage which is rare. I liked FedEx but DHL offered us rates that FedEx couldn't touch.

My packages have always gotten where they needed to be and more often than not their overnight rate is the cheapest way to ship over even their ground pricing except in a few situations.

Well coming from someone who ships 30-40 UPS packages a year without a problem, having both of my two DHL packages this year get lost, thats just pretty sad.

Or a fluke, or improper labeling, etc. Hardly enough to declare an entire company unfit.
