DHCP lease problem

I have a DSL modem linked to a switch, in turn linking to four computers in my apartment. Until recently, we all had 64.4.xx.xx IPs leased from our ISP. One night, our connection died, and the next day I had 216.xxx IPs leased to my computer only. The rest of the computers still have 64.4. I have tried releasing the IPs and renewing, but to no avail. The 3 normal computers all get regular IPs, while mine is the odd man out. This means file transfer goes through the modem, not the switch, which is slow and inefficient.

The leases are 24 hours, if that makes a difference.

What can I do?

Thanks.

Call your ISP if you paid for multi connections, other wise get/built router.

Or, you could use a port scan and scan your IP range to see which IPs in not in use, then set your client puters static IP accordingly (this method is illegal)

I'll probably have to call and figure out what's up. The static IP method, as you said, is not allowed, and really doesn't work in practice. I'd just like to know what is causing such a drastic difference in IP leases.
