Now maybe people won't be so quick to look down upon mATX as a form factor. :| For some reason people get really suprised when I tell them the specs of my mATX gaming rigs.

I saw it yesterday in the Video Cards and Graphics subforum. I'm not sure I'm willing to get on board with multi-GPU. Hell, I probably wouldn't even consider it with a regular ATX. I wouldn't mind seeing a conventional mATX board from DFI though.

In any case, it's nice to see them devoting some R&D resources to mATX.

I kind of blame ECS for this one, and their ubiquitous budget mATX boards that end up in CPU+board bundles :p.

I know what you mean Zap. A lot has changed within the last 8 months or so. We got some nice mATX mobos that overclock very nicely. I hear people can get over 4GHz easily on air with the new chips and the ASUS P5E-VM HDMI. In fact someone over at HF is showing his 4.829 overclock numbers on a P5E-VM HDMI mobo and a QX9650. Not sure if thats water cooled or air cooled though. I'm guessing that is on water. Still impressive though IMO.

Actually I think that ECS has nothing to do with them being looked down on, its just that theres not enough good ones, like the abit or gigabyte or asus ones. There are only about three main ones that people talk about. So that makes them even less popular. And I also double posted, sorry about that, But ya I think that M atx is becoming more mainstream for enthusiasts or else they wouldn t keep making these nice litttle boards. Some more would be great, and im taking it into my own hands by becoming a Computer Hardware Engineer.

Some newer info was recently made available...(did a search and couldn't find anything posted) Text

Looks promising, definitely going to be some options from their LanParty line which is welcomed news.

I don't really care for running multiple cards, but I'll definitely welcome the overclocking options.

Downside for me is that I might need to build a case from scratch if I want to maintain true portability without sacrificing on cooling...but that could also be considered an upside :D

Hmm, interesting. I've been saving my pennies to get an asus P5E-VM HDMI but depending on when these DFI boards come out might have to reconsider.
