Crossfire + Overclockability. you would think that wouldn't be too much to ask for. 965P is just crippled Crossfire. 975X doesn't clock great at all.

I hear that 8800's are having issues in x8 SLI.. This board is 2x8 aswell, want to guess whether it will have the same issues with r600?

Nvidia are doing themselves out of a lot of business, by forcing Intel board customers onto their chipsets with the 16lanes necessary for the 8800?s to work in SLI.

I read just the summary because I dont have time to read all 15 pages just yet. I have to laugh when in the 'Cons' listing they say 'it only goes to 511fsb'. I just find that funny somehow. Alot of good mobos dont go to 500fsb and yet people raved about how great they were for the last six months. People have short memories, expect too much, or something. I just find it humerous. Anyway, reading the summary it sounds like a very good mobo.

superb quality, feature rich, and built for the performance overclocker

Summary
I recieved this board on the 22nd of January. This is BY FAR, the most advanced Core 2 Duo motherboard available. Everything about it... components that are used, the features, in particular, the Digital VRM module which is a HUGE bonus for overclocking and stability (.00625v increments).

The setup I am running is E6600 w/Noctua 120 HS, 2GB Team Xtreme 4-4-4-10 RAM (the best BTW), an old X800XL video card (will upgrade to R600 once released...)

I have easily managed to get the system 100% 24/7 stable at 3.85Ghz CPU, and DDR2 1000Mhz speeds 4-4-4-12 Timings.

What can I say other than this board is super great quality, feature rich, and is VERY overclocking friendly. Along with Crossfire, and Tripleplay Physics capability.

BTW, this motherboard takes 60-70 watts less power that the eVGA 680i motherboard which says alot...

Ok I get it, yes this board is superb. If I was going to build I new rig this board is definitely on my list.

XS has tons of info on the mobo so best place is probably their. Not as many uber overclockers here I guess
