DFI RD600

Looks really cool. Aside from potential OC-ability, what does the board offer that the 965 don't, in terms of features, layout, power system, etc.? Or is this board anticipated solely because it should OC really well?
 
I'm curious how strap-less clocking works as well as that digital PWM.

Gary: I thought you'd have some quality information regarding upcoming products? This picture is severely lacking and even embarassing, considering you're an AT editor. Pics of BIOS configuration, maybe.

Why 975X?

CF support?

I'd just get the P5B Deluxe & be happy 🙂
It supports CF now anyway, albeit with a bit lower performance than 975X CF.

It'll OC way past any 975X mobo now & likely for a long time 😀

Yes, I am embarrassed. I feel shamed now and will return the board. :laugh:
 
This board is why I haven't bought a P5B Deluxe...my E6600 has been sitting in its unopened box on my bedroom floor since mid-August. I hope to find a home for it soon.

I personally do not believe it's going to be worth the wait for most people.
For those who want to be able to run CF to it's maximum potential & tweak with settings to an extreme, then yes, i suspect it'll be worth it.

But how many people will actually run CF?
How many people need mobos that can clock higher than say my P5B Deluxe (if RD600 even can - which will be a feat in itself)?

As for the magical RAM dividers/chipset strap settings, thoset could be features that make it worth everything.
Without that, i'm not gonna get terribly excited.

That all being said, i am still very eagerly awaiting the reviews.
 
Anyone have anything more than a vague idea on when this will be available to buy? The mobo is the final piece of my Conroe build, and if this one will be out in the next 3 weeks or so, I will wait for it.
