I'm don't really take up much HDD space so I should be fine. Which features in particular are better in your opinion?

MSI, just get it u will be happy, plus its almost as good at overclocking as the dfi are. And the sound is better. Msi is faster at stock speeds also than the dfi. The dfi is only 2-5% more overclockable which only like 3 fps more which isnt that much at all.

lol, dfi's good but i heard a lot of memory compatibility issues. Also with the msi with not overclocking past 220mhz cuz of winchester cpu. But between them just go with the msi. :)

yea it does, but ive heard if u get 20 pin for like the msi the sound wont work so u have to get the 24 pin. But yea 20 pin works.

wrong, 20 pin works great for sound. The trick is that you need a PSU that has a -5volt pin on it. The Tagan from Newegg is a 24 pin PSU that has the -5v rail, but most 20 pin ATX psu's have the -5v rail. It's an outdated requirement that you are more likely to find on a 20 pin PSU

Is it true that the DFI uses higher quality parts? Does the MSI still perform the same or better?

So you don't want overclocking, but you just want one of these boards, you should leave it up to yourself. I've got an MSI board that I can now say is very good and stable, I hear the same for DFI, you make the choice, this thread is now just an overcclocking debate.

if u r not oc'ing then pick the cheapest board that has the features u want! heck, save some bux and get the $99 epox... spend more on cpu and/or vid, less on mobo and memory if u run stock speeds... most any board should run just fine at its rated speeds... go ecs!!!

I'm deciding to go with the MSI board... Thank you all for the help!!! Now I just need to see if it'll be compatible with Corsair VS RAM
