I am having trouble finding information on whether the PCI slots in this board are PCI 2.1 or 2.2. The difference being that PCI 2.2 allows for 66MHz clock speed and thus a much higher throughput for controller cards. Thanks!

OK it seems the board is PCI 2.3 compliant, but now I need to know if a PCI-X card will fit into the board. Will the extra connectors hanging off the end be blocked?

I'm starting to get really frustrated...The board is PCI 2.3 compliant according to hardwarezone.com/articles/view.php?cid=6&id=1597, and according to en.kioskea.net/pc/pci.php3 , that should mean it is compatible with 5v or 3.3v PCI cards:

"Revision 2.3, edited on 29 March 2002, did away with the possibility of using additional 5V cards but permitted the use of cards that support both voltages in order to ensure downward compatibility. Revision 3.0 of the PCI standard completely did away with the use of 5V compatible cards."

But the keying looks different, from what I can tell, the PCI slots on the DFI NF4 Ultra-D are 5v only, and will not take a PCI-X card of any type. How can this be if they are "PCI 2.3"?

Is there no hope of getting a PCI-X SCSI controller to run 32-bit, 66MHz on my PCI bus?!?

Why don't you just use a PCI-E SCSI controller? I've never heard of anyone using (or being able to use) PCI-X on a consumer board.
