dfi nf4 ultra-d hdd led question

just put together my new rig based on the dfi nF4 ultra-d mobo. everything is working peachy except for the HDD led on my case. i've tried flipping the wires on the pins, but that hasn't helped at all.

all i have is a single SATA HDD so i was wondering if only regular IDE activity made the LED's blink or if SATA activity will as well?

if SATA should work with the LEDs, any suggestions on what could help?

They don't for me, I'll poke around and see if it's supposed to or not.

My HDD LED works fine w/SATA... Are you sure you have the lead plugged into the right pins? Counting from the pin next to the onboard power switch, the HDD LED pins are # 8 and 9, top row.

Yes it works with SATA. You may have to try the 2 pin plug both frontward and backward for it to light. Make sure you have it on the correct 2 pins.
