this product is not on DFI's website yet, hence thats why your not finding links to it. Belive what you will but i think im going to believe two guys that run dfi's own support forum than you.

i don't understand, you can't find the sli-d on dfi's website? i linked it a few posts back. you'd think a new dfi sli mobo would be surely be mentioned somewhere before its release.

They appear to be the same board (consistent w/identical specs reported on Newegg product page). The "header" you marked on the photo looks to me more like an "SLI" sticker or graphic where the other board has "NF4" graphic. I like the idea of a lower price on the same board in exchange for the omission of some accessories I'm not interested in anyway. Thanks to OP for the link.

Since the Anand article may be some changes from DFI as they are both showing Silicon Image chips, but there is a diffrence on these two boards and I do not know what chip this is. here
better look of the silicon image chips
My guess is this is the smae board and DFI has package this diffrently since the anand article.
As someone else noted just a stripped down Retail Package ...hence SLI-DR=retail

Edit:For the BIOS chip Dhuh lol

whats the "additional sata raid" say? what does dfi's own site i linked previously say?

it doesn't matter to me, think what you want. i'm just saying that the "thread" title should be changed so as not to mislead people.

Yes the title should be changed this is NOT the SLI-DR retail package for $184 but may be the board?

i understand you want to add another "*hot deal" to your sig but if you'd stop your hissy fit and read the specs.... well nevermind, wishful thinking.

at least agree with me on this, the thread title is inaccurate? can you see your way clear to do that? certainly you can see that newegg has it listed as the 'UT nf4 sli-dr", no?

i might get it myself, seems like a fair market price.

listen to this man!! look at the picture of the BOX on the NewEgg link. it clearly says LanParty UT SLI-DR (no Front-X, no carry strap) as opposed to the non-UT, which is going for $215 on the Egg.

this is different than the box picture of the UT SLI-D link to the DFI site that someone posted.

all the UT versions come in that blue box as opposed to the full LanParty which comes in a bigger Green box.

save $30 bux for no Front-X, no diagnostic LED connector, no carry straps. hot? maybe not (like the new iPods that cost less, but come with fewer accessories), but definitely a new version/package for those who want to save a little.

the thread title is inaccurate yes, but this board is a dual raid controller board without all the things none of us use. I dont understand why you are trying to say its a SLI-D. The SLI-D does not have the silicon image controller for the 4 additional sata ports. can you at least agree that the one we are questioning on newegg has 8?

i don't know. i trust neweggs specs as much as i trust their filtered user opinions. hell, they don't even have the right size for the board unless DFI has developed their own form factor. frankly, i think they are wrong in their specs. someone posted that this hasn't even hit the dfi site yet, so maybe i'm wrong.

but the UT sli-d and the sli-dr i linked from dfi site clearly show that this does NOT have the sil3114.

so maybe this is a new board, i don't need the stuff the sli-d lacks anyway. i just would have thought it would have hit DFI's site before it hit neweggs shelf.

lmao you have become a jackass if you are not indeed dumb yet rise4310

that board is not the sli-d and i will not stop posting because i freaking ordered the board and REALIZED IT WASNT THE FULL RETAIL PACKAGE OF THE TRUE SLI-DR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

do you want to check my credit card statement???

i ordered the board then realized it didnt have all the packaging as the regular SLI-DR

Thats it, did you read?! the packaging is not the same

fuck dfi's pics for sli-d and sli-dr, i'm serious... print them out and hump them

THIS IS A SLI-DR AND A DAMN GOOD DEAL IF YOU DON'T WANT THE PERKS OF FRONT-X OR EXTRA CABLE SHEATHING

happy??? i said it, good deal for this no frills packaging but still SLI-DR motherboard, not the SLI-D

so it's a rebadged sli-d if it says UT, no?

lmao... ayo bro-ham you almost got it

this board is a SLI-DR

fuck the bold SLI-D(R)... this board is the SLI-DR with less packaging going for $30 less.

Make believe example:
A Tsunami case comes with a psu for $100
A UT - Tsunami case comes with no psu for $70
