DFI NF4 SLI-DR!!!!!!!!

I was going to order this and post the hot deal here but then realized that it was a
SLi-DR UT which is different than regular SLi-DR (in packaging)
Can anyone clarify the differences?

do a comparison, theres raid and audio differences per newegg, and AT review also shows some other differences.

don't get me wrong, i think i might get it myself. i don't think i'll need the other features anyway. but it is not the sli-dr.

Errrr....yeah it is.

Raid and audio are the same. And it does come with the SLI bridge.

Hmmm, ok... they are both sli-dr people, it's just the packaging that is different. Now can anyone clarify the differences in packaging?

oh apparently their are no lights
No frontx, no sleeving,
I just posted on dfi street about it, its basically a no frills version of the DR.
Its nothing but the board, and rounded cables.

SLI-D

SLI-DR

AT article page 2

i was wrong on the audio, but the raid (doesn't matter to me) is different and of course the packaging. being SLI, obviously it will come with the bridge.

still a good deal.

like i said, i got mine two weeks ago.

so it cant be hot.

just cuz you didnt know it was even cheaper elsewhere.. doesnt make this one hot all the sudden. 😉

$180 is just market price, that newegg finally got too.

and this isnt the full SLI-DR btw, its the UT editon so no sheathing or frontx or diagnostic panels.
so its not the same one you saw a month ago for $230.
the full blown SLI-DR (with all that stuff) is still $220 or so.

*takes off gauntlet*
*smack!*

i never bought from them housecat, how are they shipping, service etc?

resellerratings gives them no negative feedback.

i checked before i ordered. excellent service for me at least.
they've been around a few years too, and to have all indifferent or positive feedback was a plus.

yes, the title should actually be changed. newegg clearly has both the SLI-D and the SLI-DR

this price is for the SLI-D.

Oh, didn't actually check the link to see what the item was, just figured it was the DR since that's what the title said.

In that case, yeah this really isn't hot.

how can you say its not the dr? in the item listing it says its a dr and look on the board, 8 SATA ports, this board is a dr

Yeah, thne description on Newegg and the pic of both box and mobo all include 8 SATA ports as opposed to 4 for the -D.

D = only the NV 4-channel SATA

DR = 4 channel NV sata + 4 channel Si3114 SATA

UT vs regular LanParty = UT is basic board + cables, full Lanparty is board, cables, frontX, carry strap, etc

that is straight from a DFI employee, this is a DR folks

seeing as you guys apparently do better with pics as opposed to the DFI links i gave you, here is neweggs side by side as well.

it's not the DR. if you want to get this SLI-D and call it hot, hell, call it "straight from a dfi employee", fine. but the title is wrong and should be changed.

edit- btw neweggs specs are inconsistent with those taken from the dfi site i linked but still show the different raid controller.
