Ooooo update, this was posted like yesterday by angry_games on dfi-street:

"we are offering a 939 AGP (NF3) version for those that do not want, or cannot, afford a new PCI-E video card to ease the upgrade.

we will have a non-SLI NF4

we will have an SLI NF4

we might have other offerings that are combinations of the above (not AGP though)."

Maybe I will continue to wait :S

that's great.. with all these PCI-E mobo and video card supply shortages it makes me think AGP will be around a good while longer. i just don't understand why we can't make the move to the BTX form factor with PCI-E and just get all this new tech stuff done in one upgrade.

they have 5 models.. two are single pcie.

Passive HS you can buy.

It's true that you can buy a passive HS, but whether or not you can use it depends on where the PCIe slot is placed relative to the chipset (and perhaps which video card you have as well).

A mobo that already has a passive heatsink will have all that figured out. Regardless, it's nice to hear that they are making some versions with a single 16x slot, so maybe that'll increase the possibility of using a stock or aftermarket passive HS.

Now, if they could just go ahead and include 1394b, that would be great.

-D'oh!

Any more info on availablity ?? I want one now ..... 🙂

Also, are they shipping the UltraD version without a sli connector ??
