I see that this board has the following specs for RAM:

RAM: 2x DIMM for Dual Channel DDR2 400/533, 2x DIMM for Dual Channel DDR 400/333 Max 2GB

I currently have a system with 1.5 GB of DDR. Does that mean that I couldn't use it with this board?

I think it is less about the board and more about the chipset. With that in mind, I suspect it will be the same as with the K8N Neo Platinum which can support three 512M DDR400 memory or two 1G DDR400
memory.

You mean the Socket 754 board, I assume?

if you haven't already seen the AT article on this board check it out. They say they were able to get 1.5GB (3x512) to run at DDR400 with 2-3-2-2-10 timings, so, you probably could.

yeah which board are you talking about because the dfi lanparty UT does not use ddr2 nor does it support dual channel.

The DFI Lanparty UT shouldn't be able to support DDR2 since today's Athlon 64's onboard memory controllers don't support DDR2 yet and AMD hasn't officially announced a date/timeframe when DDR2 support on the Athlon 64 will be available.

When you say 1.5 GB, would that happen to be
1) 1GB + 512MB
2) 3*512MB
3) 2*256MB + 2*512MB

I assume
1) Wouldn't work in DC mode and if it does only 1GB of memory will be addressable
2) Wouldn't work in DC mode unless you take out the 3rd stick of ram or only 1GB of memory will be addressable.
3) Works in DC mode

What I've said above is based on a assumption that said motherboard is for the Athlon 64 platform and could possibly apply for the P4 platform as well.
