I know how you feel when it comes to this motherboard, its supposed to be really awesome. I've tried newegg.com but they don't even say that there gonna have it yet. Try zipzoomfly.com, i looked at it earlier and it was on back ordered. i called a tech guy and he said to check back in a couple of days.

Got you an update on the motherboard. Gameve.com will have it on the 28th this month.

I know how you feel also. I settled for the Soltek in Anand's review that Newegg has for $99.99

Got mine at GameVE...I ordered last week after reading Wesley's review on the board. I have been waiting for months for the right board and this is it. I'm running a 3200+ Newcastle with 9-12 BIOS at 315 FSB, 8 multipler, 3HTT, 140DDR divider 2, 2, 2, 1T using default voltages except the chipset, which I increased to 1.7. I put a chip set fan on the stock heatsink. There's only an inch of room between the video card and board for a hs/f to set, so low profile it is. The performance rivals the MSI neo2 in Sandra CPU & multi - getting 20300 3DMark2001, whereas my 2.4C P4 @ 3.3 never got past 19000....sure it's synthetic, but...the gam play is magnificant. Q3 like I've never seen and FC...well, I've never seen, but it cam with the CPU board combo. In my opinion, this is the board - screw 939, I saved $400 and have the performance of the 939 excpet the memory "benches," which mean crap! :D

Damn I want one too. I'm really surprised and disappointed that Newegg doesn't carry it yet.

I really need to replace my epox 8KDA3J. This piece of crap and its voltage fluctuations are driving me crazy.

I got mine from Emicrox. Just came in today. Shipping was around $7, and they sent it FedEx 2 day. So far I'm happy.
[Haven't tried it out yet. I've got a 3200+ A64 DTR coming from NewEgg and as soon as that gets here I'll put it all together.]

Had mine up a week now.....this is one georgous board. 3200+ Newcastle runs at 315 X 8 for a 2.52 GHz closk at under 1.6 V-core. Corsair PC3500 (2 X 256) at 473, running 4:3 (315 X 2 Div by 4 X 3) at 2.9 V-Mem with DRAM strength at 2. It's one flying board.

I mounted an old GPU chipset fan on the stock chipset HS. It must be doing one hell of a job to get me to 315. I can get to 320, and even load windows XP SP1 at 325 X 7.5, but not stable. Of course, I have yet to increase V-core over 1.6. Using a Gigabyte 3D rocket HS/F, which is really nice for keeping peace in the fan hating family. :D

I'm actually having a bit of trouble getting this board past ~230 with the 3200+ NC. Not sure if it's the processor or the PSU (getting an Antec in tomorrow hopefully to find out), but 2.4 GHz seems to be the cap for me. Going to try lowering the multiplier and see what happens with that tomorrow, if the new PSU doesn't cut it.

Yeah, the PSU didn't help much. After I lowered the multiplier I could get up to ~235 before Memtest reported errors. I'm convinced it's my CPU :(

The only two reasons to get a high "FSB" is to overclock the memory and processor. Other than that there's no difference in performance, if you use the correct HTT multiplier.

I'm overclocking for fun and profit...well, fun anyway.

There's just the tiniest performance enhancement from the higher clock speeds, nothing like the XP are and certainly nothing like the bandwidth starving P4....but, man this is one scalded dog (fast, not hot...although....:D

audscott,

I'm not sure you understood what I said. In the Athlon 64, the "FSB" is just a reference clock from which your HTT, processor, memory and in some chipsets AGP/PCI, clocks are all obtained. If you use a low multiplier/divider for HTT, processor and memory it's pointless to have a high "FSB".

so 11x220 is no worse off than 10x240? or did i get it mixed up the other way around?

10x240 would be slightly faster due to the increased memory bandwidth, if at 1:1. Not a huge difference, but it's still measurable.

It really depends on what the HTT multiplier and memory divider are set. Assuming the HTT is the same (or something between 800-1000MHz - tests show there's no big difference there) the only difference in performance would come from the memory speed. The faster one will be the one with higher memory speed. So 11x220 could be faster, if memory is 1:1 compared to 5:6(DRAM/FSB) for 10x240.

All the Fry's stores in the bay area have them, price is $129. The Fremont store had 15 in the overhead but no display.

I went ahead and ordered one at emicrox

http://www.emicrox.com/eShop/p...fr=DFI&pid=1408243

I ordered on the 9/30, it said it was in stock but then it said 0 in stock when you get the cart. I went ahead anyway and my ordered was delayed slightly because I used a different shipping address. When i talked to customer service they said they had the board ready to ship.

I ordered one from http://www.ctselect.com/mot-df-24.html this afternoon. Ships tomorrow. They have 2 more in stock (I called before I ordered). They are a brand new company, but since they are through Yahoo Shopping I felt secure enough to give them a shot. At $129 shipped I couldn't resist. Plus no one else has them in stock. Newegg says they'll get them tomorrow, but they always overshoot ETAs.

This is replacing my so-so MSI K8N plat.
