Just scored one for $115 @ newegg a few weeks ago, might pick up another if this one comes up available again.

Edit: Just thought I'd post my own opinion of this board, for those who are on the fence:

I was once an ASUS fanboy. Even now, I don't have any compliants with any of the 3 ASUS boards I have owned. But DFI to me, is just so much more flexible in terms of function and design, that since the switch, I haven't looked back. Sure, there have been those moments of frustration, when something fails to work correctly, or what should work absolutely doesn't, etc, but when you do manage to find that intricate balance between your board and your components, there's not much quite like it. DFI makes an overclocker's board, of that there is no doubt. And there are far too many people out there without near enough patience, discipline- let alone skill- to claim the title.

Ergo, If you want to push your system to the limits, and you're motivated enough to educate yourself enough to do so, then DFI is your board. If you're a little more lax when it comes to OCing (i.e. FSB = the only acronym that holds any meaning to you), then stick with a reliable, quality ASUS board that won't let you down.

I just ordered one!
It is back ordered.

I have sent a message to customer service asking if it is OEM or refurbished. Will report if I get a reply.

I'd be very surprised if Outpost does OEMs or refurbs! 😉 Does anyone know if this mobo performs stutter free when playing Half-Life 2 or other Source engine based games?

bad motherboard, full of problems. i wouldn't recommend to anyone. DFI is still a second tier motherboard company using cheap parts which result in so much other hardware being unstable with it (PSUs, ram, etc) i'd get an asus over this anyday

I just bought it even though it is on backorder, not building new system for a month or so. But awesome deal if you can wait.

...obviously this board is awarded and viewed highly amoung enthusiasts for a reason(including Anandtech). You can miss out on this, but its your loss.

How about a shread of hard evidence to prove your point? Most if not all mobos are made in communist China so how is the Asus NF4 mobo better than the DFI NF4 mobo if they're both made in a communist Chinese factory???

Anyone using this mobo experiencing stuttering or hitching free gameplay when playing Half-Life 2 or other Source engine based game???

Is this DFI mobo modable so that it can use SATA2 HDs? I don't care that it's not SLI but it would be great if it could handle SATA2 HDs!

Can you still order it even when it's backordered as it is now?

Yes, you can order it. I did. I have got an order confirmation email. The problem is you don't know how long you may have to wait before you receive the board.

$122.00 at the egg with 90% of the reviews excellent (77%) or good (13%)

The only negative reviews are from people who didn't know what they were doing or received a faulty board, which happens occasionally.

I would love to have this board at this price. Let us know if you placed an order and received confirmation when they think it would ship.

I have one of these, exact same model.

It's top quality.

It's the best motherboard I've ever owned, by a noticeable margin.

Guess merchants are clearing out stock to make way for the new socket AM-2 boards coming soon.

The last review I read about this board, they did 368 FSB with the board...and thought the CPU was holding it back
