This board reminds me of the Ultra-D alot. Plenty of Dram Timings and plenty of Voltage options. So far it is rock stable on the OC front. I have it at 3825 now at 1.29v (9 x 425) and no probs. Board runs fairly cool as well, at least cooler than my previous Ultra-D.

Glad to hear such good things about this board. I never jump on the latest thing so I don't really mind DFI being late as long as they produce great products like they do. Of course I am a DFI fanboy.

Think I'll pick up an E2160 at Microcenter. They have it for $69.99 I'll get a E8400 later. I'll see what I can push the E2160 to for now.

Microcenter has the e8400 on sale for $190. I think is only in store though. I think the sale is till the 14th.

Edit: I check the website and it does not come up. They are really slow at adding new products. I have the sales add here though and the SKU# for the e8400 is 425041 maybe you can call them up and order it over the phone.

Been toying around with my setup, hardest thing to figure out is the darn GTL voltages and the VTT. I have the VTT at 1.13, reported in SG as 1.15. GTL seems to be working ok now at 61/61/61. I have it at 4005 with 1.36v with good temps so far :D

Yeah, unless they're sold out they should have the E8400

Thank god for Microcenter though, no Frys anywhere near me which I would probably ultimately prefer, but Microcenter will almost always have the newer CPUs and for a really competitive price.

Got this board up and running this weekend. Haven't had a chance to OC yet since I've been distracted by its (apparent) lack of hot-swapping ability. It supposedly works under Vista, but who wants to use Vista when XP works just fine? Anybody have a similar experience or advice?

Jealous. Ordered my Lanparty DK + q6600 today, should have all components up & running in a week.

Have this board and an E2180 running at 3.33GHz now without breaking a sweat. 333 FSB with RAM at 800 4-4-4-12 2.0v, 1.44v on the CPU but haven't tweaked at all and just arbitrarily picked 1.44 to test, so I imagine it will either clock higher or I can drop the voltage. VERY pleased compared to my GA-N650ISLI.

How is the vDroop on this board? From BIOS to Windows idle to Windows load.

Idling in XP at 1.44v (according to CPU-Z and SpeedFan; CoreTemp reads 1.3125v which is wrong); Prime95 blend drops vcore to 1.424.
Don't recall exact BIOS reading off top of my head, but I know I added 150mV over stock (which is about 1.3v).
I'll have to check it tomorrow to make sure. I still need to tweak the set voltage--it may be stable with less.

afaik Oskar Wu is still at DFI & he is/was their star (they hired him away from abit).
& again afaik the DFI guys that left for Foxconn came from the Infinity side rather than the Lanparty team.

I thought he was one of the people Foxconn hired? So much for "star engineers."

On my board, 1.36v in bios = 1.36v Idle in CPU-Z and SG, 1.344v load. Not to shabby.
