Our production has fallen to dismal levels (13th daily, 10th overall), it seams everybody has lost interest, and now I see that FoBoT has left the team and many of our long-time members are no longer crunching 😱(

I realize that there were some serious issues with the client, but those seem to be mostly taken care of. I've enjoyed being a part of this team, and I'd hate to see it die.
 
well anandtech is fragmented into about 10 major projects. Things like this are bound to happen, and taken into account the direction that DF has taken it's no surprise. Anandtech will own Chessbrain and SoB and strong in a few others. That's how the wind is blowing this time round, just a fact of DC projects.

BTW when I'm 5th overall you know there has to be something seriously wrong, come and get me 🙂

also don't forget there's a new protein on Wednesday 11AM
 
I've just got my production to fairly stable levels now. I hope to keep that up for the next while.
Incidentally, I have just acquired the ugliest Athlon Thunderbird 800 I have ever seen. It must have at least three major chips off the core and one of the foam pad things came off while I was cleaning the heatsink gunk off it. It goes though, and has been folding happily all night. Amazing how much faster an Athlon is compared to a Duron.

ive had decent luck with this protein, i had some problems with the text console and switched to service and ive had 0 stability problems since for around 2 or 3 weeks now.
eternal vigilance is what you need to fold with DF, ive learned.
oh well, it gives me something to do i suppose.
thats what living in a small town will do to a person.

I have switched to F@H for now i may be back to DC later sorry guys the client is ticking me off. it will just stop dead for no reason and im tired of restarting it all the time

I'm still in with about half a dozen systems, sorry to hear about Fobot, he was a good teammate for quite some time, at least he's still crunching, even if it's not with us.

I've been fairly happy with the new client, but the versions before had major problems. Keep crunchin'
 
i got the new protein installed. everything appears to have gone smoothly.

I got a PM from Fobot today ,roughly he said that no-one had annoyed him ,just that he felt better at the other team.
He didn't want to make a song & dance of it hence no announcement or previous mention ,(which the latter is a pitty ,maybe if he'd talked about some things we could of helped there??).

Oh he also wished us well in our endeavours🙂
 
im sure the competition is a little more stiff over there.
there are more ppl on that team that are close to his production levels and therefore might make it more interesting statswise, like in racing or whatnot.
