I had a problem with the new patch. It wouldn't extract the new files without me renaming the foldtrajlite.exe to something else.

Check the date on the new foldtrajlite.exe, it should be 12/9/02

*EDIT - that didn't fix it. It still tried to d/l the patch and install again. I'm on Win2k and had to grant the folder I have it in Guest access. I hope this isn't the same for everyone!!!

FYI this is what's in the whatsnew.txt file after the patch. Doesn't seem like much:

12/10/2002

- Solaris 32-bit version now support SunOS 5.6 and up
- Increased maximum buffer size when using -df option
- Added support for sampling with less atom bump-checking

Preliminary results are in.

My P4 1.8 has gone from 102312 Structures Per Day to 185600.

That's after running only 1000 structures though, so it will probably change.

Glad you got it fixed up Bunker. The only problem I had was I forgot to turn ZoneAlarm off this morning and found it asking if DF could talk to the internet... I only lost about 3 hours though... so that's not too bad.

Preliminary Benchie:

Distributed Folding Windows dfGUI v1.9 Benchmark

Sample Size : 5670 structures over 1643 seconds.
Protein Size: 129AA

Structures Per Second: 3.45
Structures Per Minute: 207.1
Structures Per Hour : 12424
Structures Per Day : 298167

OS : Windows XP MHz: 1775
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2100+

I've lost about five hours of production on my home machines (thanks to rotten time zone differences) - hopefully all my NT service clients will have automatically updated properly...

When did the update happen? I'll have to monitor my clients in the AM to make sure they're all updated okay. Been okay so far (fingers crossed). :)

Thanks for the heads-up bunker!

According to zonealarm, my file was modified at 12:54pm (EST)

It will depend some upon when your DF tried to upload results.... it won't update until after the change was issued and then an upload of results occurs.

FYI, this wasn't a service install that messed up for me. Regular install using DFGui
