Yes folks that's about 1,100 generations. The client I have has to fold offline and for about oh two or three weeks of folding it crapped on the very first generation but instead of stopping or warning the user nooooo it continues to fold for nothing untill you find out the hard way. Another momentus day in the life of distributed computing.

P.S. I have 9000 Generations stored on offline clients.... that's about 4M points let's go see what surprises await me.

man nic
that sucks!
good luck with your 9000 gen upload! i hope it goes well.
i knew something was up. i knew you were hording those points up only to come charging back.

Very sorry to hear that...we would need all we can get in DF, the TeAm is falling behind...🙁

Hopefully it is not all lost, if i remember correctly there should be some way to upload these to the server "manually". Not sure, however, if it applies to your situation. 😕

Anyhow, you have been one of the best "producers" in the DF team, congratulations for that & good crunching!

All the best,

Jukka

1000 gens to go, you should see about 4M by tomorrow : )

the worst part of this is that I'd check it every two days are so I'd look at the progress and error.log and everything was going fine. Oh well....

On the bright side of it, it appears that this particular bug was fixed.

Nice dump NicColt. I know they say the fixed it but I still get it if there is a problem while I'm uploading. Others have had it too.

I can't believe that I transferred 70 MB over the last month to the DF server... I guess I am going to have to shut all my work machines down with that kind of traffic going on. How big are all these uploads and downloads again?

I am extremly sorry to hear that, it's a waste of a lot of CPU time and electricity, but in a way I'm glad. It's not just D²OL that has problems :brokenheart:
