TeAm Stuff

Wow, today's definitely looking to be very productive from the standpoint of quite a few members. Also nice to see LANMAN folding. Don't know how long he's been down at the bottom of the list so it's good to see him moving up! :)

Daily Production: A very respectable 37.4M, and 3rd place. We're 10M over 4th, and 5M from 2nd (Rechenkraft.net). If we can maintain the pace we've set the last couple of days we should be able to make our target of 3rd place by the end of 2003 with ease!

See everyone tomorrow!

Thanks mOti :)

I have put DF on my linux machine, and so far it runs nicely, but how to get rid of the stupid ASCII graphic in the console.

I have tried to put the -qt parameter in the foldit file, but it doesnt seem to work:(

The Daily came early today :) Thanks m0ti! :D

Congratulations to the Milestone Makers and Producers of the Day! Looks like we're doing really well, folks. Keep up the great work!

I've just lost an XP2000+ from my "farm" and regained a 1GHz Thunderbird (I had to manually update my fiancee's computer and now she's back folding away with a vengeance). I have the offending XP2000+ here and I will deal with it today ... :D
Then there's another 1700 I have to fix up... gah... Athlons!

Welcome back, LANMAN! :D

Woohoo! Very nice RMS Terrahawk!

Yesterday I remembered my tired old PII-350 had been crunching away for a good while without dumping, so I hooked it up to a monitor and keyboard (it had been running "headless") to see how it was doing and much to my surprise, it had accumilated over a million folds! I was really excited until I remembered that it hadn't been updated to the new client yet so I lost all those folds :( I was really looking forward to a nice whopping speeding ticket, too! ;) Ah well, at least I updated the client and its happily crunching away at it.

./foldtrajlite -f protein -n native -qt -df -it -rt

did you restart it at least once?

mine is an old install that has updated a few times, i think i saw some other posts after the latest update about a similar problem, i will have to go look on the DF forum

PS

we have completed 1/3 of the 10 billion for this protein in under 1 week
so
we are on track for a Jan 28 protein change, since it is very likely at this pace we will hit 10 billion on about jan 26

That's strange, soni. I've tried the -qt option and it worked.

hmm.

you could also do: ./foldit > /dev/null

While it won't be running in quiet mode you won't see anything being outputted to the screen. The output'll be transferred to a pipe to nowhere.

Yep, restarted it several times..
Tried it with your parameters also, no change

I also run with -p 19, but thats shouldnt have anything to do with the quiet settings (did try without)..

i would try clearing your work
rm the directory with df

redownload and reinstall
choose the "no output" from the first run script
try it again

Way to go TeAm!

great numbers recently. Terrahawk with the top RMS is outstanding.

welcome, TART.

Come on Sid, get one more machine on, DFGui 2.0 having an auto-restart and me finding out that one of my systems had flaky ram in it has upped production a bit, should be stable now.
