This stuff is the bomb! I usually only use guafensin based cough syrups since they work so well.

This a.m. I was so sick I was hocking up a lung. So I ran out and bought some cough syrup with Dextromethorphan. This stuff works great.

Just be careful to not overload on acetaminophen; most cough syrups have it included as a fever reducer and it often comes included in some over the counter medications like Tylenol. If you take too much acetaminophen you can cause liver damage.

Well, the common cold medicine usually has both. Dextromorphan is the primary ingreident for cough suppression, while the guaifenesin is an expectorant which I believe is basically for bringing up mucus from the throat and upper lung area.

Yes there is concern on acetaminophen intake but you'd have to be chugging a crapload of cough medicine or pills to hit that and especially worse if it's a thing you're doing everyday.
