by the way, does anyone else think deb gets hotter and hotter with each passing season? i used to think she was pretty gross... now, i'm ALL about some deb.

Very good episode. Deb killing La Guerta was inevitable, but the way it happened was quite different from what I expected. I thought this season was pretty damn amazing, though I do miss Ray Stevenson now. 🙁

it pains me to see this and the homeland threads on the front page, knowing that i can't read the thoughts yet because i haven't seen the episodes yet. was busy watching football and survivor finale last night, but will watch dexter and homeland tonight!

Except how are they going to pass it off? Dexter was going to use Estrada's gun to fake a kill scene, but now the ballistics are going to tie it to Deb's gun. Well, unless they simply remove her bullet and Dexter and Deb manipulate the scene... somehow.

That is my assumption. Remove her bullet and maybe shoot her with another one from Estrada's gun or something. How they explain her being out at the dock, alone, in a shipping container though...:hmm:

I'm guessing it won't be too hard since Dex already framed LaGuerta in framing Dex for Estrada's "murder". And she got him released from jail. So they already have a history. Won't take much to make it look like they had a meeting that just went bad. Of course, I'm sure there will be some loose end that someone catches to continue keeping pressure on Dex and (now) Deb.

Well in the link I posted above it seems they have finally completely put the Bay Harbour Butcher thing to rest, but yeah, some sort of loose end with LaGuerta's disappearance will probably stay out there. Most likely putting Angel on his heels.

Have to agree. I couldn't stand her at first and didn't find her even remotely attractive. This season, I thought she was extremely attractive. I started noticing it last season. I think it's the show, since Jennifer looked pretty good when all dressed up for awards shows, but still looked terrible on the show. I dunno.

yeah, i didn't find her remotely attractive earlier on in the seasons... she was waaaay too thin and too muscular for my taste, originally. now, she's just super hot to me. i don't think it has to do with her character. it's gotta be that she stopped getting ripped or something or that her hair and make-up department has been killing it these past couple seasons... i dunno, but i find myself insanely attracted to her, physically, lately... small tits and all...
 
I've always thought she was attractive. Perhaps because the character is so foul mouthed that it's hard to imagine her being a prude in the sack.
 
I just watched the finale.... holy shit!

I thought this was the weakest season but man, what a way to end. Made the whole season worth it.

I know the feeling, I had to resist the urge to read the Dexter and Homeland threads, it was well worth it.

yup, i watched them both last night. liked dexter better than homeland. i did like how homeland finally concluded but the first half of the ep was a lovey dovey snoozefest which the last few eps had. but the end redeemed it.

but damn, dexter went out with a bang. i gotta say it was a pretty good job acting wise and how deb reacted after she killed laguerta. i will not miss her character she's bothered me since the first season. the actress that plays her overacts like shit (as do 90% of the cast) and she just irritates me. will be very interesting to see where the season goes. to think that this season started out with deb witnessing dexter murder someone and conflicting the entire season about it, then ending the season with her killing someone herself, and not due to a "dark passenger" like dexter, but to protect her family. pretty insane turn around.

EDIT:

i also LOL'ed for real when they showed the title of the episode "Surprise, Motherfucker!". i kept hearing it in doke's voice in my head.

Also, after Deb shot La Guerta she runs up and hugs her. She returns to the party and is wearing the same dress. Wouldn't it be covered in blood? Kind of surprised to that Dexter attended the party in his killing clothes.
