What do you think of this season? I am kind of all over the place. I disliked the first couple of episodes, but I've kind of warmed up to the season as it progressed. After last nights episode, I am kind of unsure again.

There's another thread, but I'm warming up to it I guess. I thought the religious hypocrite thing was already played out with the trinity killer, but I'm doing my best to give it a chance.

I searched for another, but it was mainly dedicated to last season. Am I overlooking one?

Just looked...didn't see one, so I'll stfu. I must have been thinking of the mos def thread, but that's not a season thread.I think this season they've been doing a good job with the subplots, even tho the pursuit of the doomsday killers don't do much for me.

I didn't read any of the posts above because I haven't watched last night's episode yet, but I heard it was good. I have not been a big fan of this season so far.

Possible Spoiler:

Do you think Gellar is in Travis' head?

Ha. That's definitely a possibility.
(trying to think if we've ever seen him actually did anything physical)

Btw, Batista-Quinn partnership is pretty hilarious :D

If there is a manhunt for him why can he just walkout in public so easily? The old TA claims she hasn't heard from him in years. The Doomsday Bible was in Travis' apartment. When he visited his sister she claims that Travis is a good painter, yet we've never seen him paint. We have seen Gellar paint several times though. The scene with Gellar being the peeping tom makes more since with this. I'm sure if I keep thinking I probably could come up with more.

I have mixed feelings as well. Seems like they're really dragging out the Doomsday killer thing.

I like the whole brother Sam part and trying to convince Dexter there's some light in him. Was great how he tried to give that stupid murderer kid a chance and when the kid was a total douche he got handled.

But now,
"bringing back" his bro and saying Trinity (who is dead) is back, WTF. Is Trinity's son the new killer?

The killer is walking around in public and nobody is saying anything, just unbelieveable. Everything else about it seems good so far. This past weeks episode had an excellent ending. The inner turmoil and how it was portrayed was great.

I can see more promise in this season.

Masuka's intern dude is going to play some significant role in the coming episodes, methinks.

And yeah, the wandering around in public makes me think that we're not being told something.
But we've also seen newspapers with Gellar's face on them...I'm not sure I can buy the "he's in Travis' head" thing.

I think the point of the idea was that he was an actual person that did exist, but died/got killed some time ago and inside Travis' head only recently. Maybe something happened between them and Travis killed him by accident, etc.

Looks like that's the way they are going to go with it. I'm really looking forward to next week, that's the first time I've felt that way with this season. I think it'll create an interesting dynamic if
Jonah is a killer now, because it'll make Dex think about Harrison. If Trinity's son turns into a killer, he'll wonder if the same fate awaits Harrison. Not sure how I feel about Brian being back though....

I've kinda gave up on the show after the second episode of this season... is it worth picking up again?

Depends on if you really like the show as a whole or not. The addition of Mos Def was a great one and he's great in the show. I think the season really picked up with the last two episodes, but I'm a diehard Dexter fan, so might not be the best judge.

do you guys really think that dexter's brother being back was really him?

i was assuming it was just in his head, just like his dad is.

interesting too that some of you think Gellar may be in the other dudes head. i hadn't even thought about that but you all may be onto something there.

I don't think anyone thinks Brian is actually back...like, real. Of course it's in his head. he's basically taking the place of Harry...Brian told him he didn't need Harry or the "code", he could kill anyone he wants.

yeah, brian isn't back. harry = the light, brian = the dark. for a long time, harry was the dark until he started realizing that he's a good person and it's possible to keep himself in check and be more light.

i kinda hated brian's actor, though... he was just annoying to look at and listen to. i hope he doesn't stick around.
