Dexter season 3

no idea, been trying to find out when it starts.

same with Californication, can't find a start date.

edit- touche Showtime....official dexter site says 9/29

haha nice. It appears both shows start on 9/28.

The Shield, Sunny in Philly, Dexter, Californication all start the same month. Awesome.

From Wikipedia:

A third season of Dexter was announced following the season two finale, in an ad which confirmed Dexter would return in 2008. Season three will premiere September 28, 2008 on Showtime and in Canada on The Movie Network. Jimmy Smits has signed on to the season 3 cast. He will play Miguel Prado, an assistant district attorney who will work with Dexter to pursue a murderer who has affected both of their lives. Dexter befriends Miguel Prado which changes his way of life afterwards. It was also rumored that in the third season, Dexter kills someone innocent and that causes "an avalanche". Another main plot will be Debra's new love - "a healthy loving relationship" - but it wasn't announced with whom.

I liked Jimmy Smits in the West Wing. I think he will make a good addition to the cast.

****SPOILERS*****

Are there episode synopses anywhere for the end of the last season? I was really into it for a while, but I missed everything after Doakes burned down his cabin.

Uhh i think that was the last or 2nd to last episode of season 2. Just watch the last ep i think, don't they do a little recap just before the episode starts?

Oh shit, really? I remember that they found his blood samples, and I completely forgot about the show after that. Sweet, I thought I missed a lot more than that.

I will murder you if you post any spoilers. Season 3 won't be on until late Sept. I'm gonna wait for it. I miss Lila, she was perfect for Dexter...

Doakes didn't do it and it wasn't his cabin.

Yah, it was pretty interesting.

Hmm, I'm a little worried. One of the main writers/producers of the show left after Season 2 and the 1st episode of Season 3 didn't feel quite up to the previous seasons. I'll keep watching, of course, but I hope this isn't the beginning of a downward slide in quality.

Well the first season was based off the book, 2nd was almost all original, and now its completely new. (which is good, because the 3/4 books are horrifically bad)

Well, the first season actually involved stuff from the book. I believe the second season pretty much didn't and I'm not so sure about the third season so far. I just hope the plot isn't similar to the second season's plot of Dexter staying out of everyone's cross-hairs as a suspect.

I've watched the S3E01 episode and thought they packed a little too much into it.

I haven't read any of the books and from what I've read I'm glad they decided to stay away from the 2nd and 3rd books ( I heard the author introduced a 'demon' or something as to why Dexter is the way he is - WTF? ).
