Deviated Septum. I has it. UPDATE: Surgery was a success

Damn. I want to ask my doctor if they can drill out my nose hole. I'm jealous. A large, clear nose is seriously like a high performance air intake. I want one. If I could engineer my own body, I would be so badass it would be insane.

Well, it's still a little raw and healing; so the cold st. louis air is pretty damn sharp coming through. Doctor says I also have to be careful for a while because the septum can 'perforate'. So I'm not quite out of the woods yet but should be omw out in 3-4 months. I go back to get scoped in a month to make sure everything is ok.

Scheduled for Septoplasty next week. But I'm very concerned the reflux I have is going to make breathing thru my mouth very hard.

Is your nose totally blocked (both sides with no airflow at all) after the Septoplasty? Or you still feel a light airflow right after Septoplasty?

Yes, I understand you have to breathe thru your mouth, but will you still feel that cool limited breeze from the nose airflow or is it totally blocked both sides??

A lot of people don't understand that the nose is actually a 2 pipe system that alternates nostrils. The dominant nostril changes throughout the day/night...so the tissue in your nose actually swells to change which nostril works better than the other. The nasal cycle is important to understand....especially if you get really kinky with nasal sex, etc...
