What you do not believe it is possible to put truthful yet conversative bias and a truthful yet liberal bias to any news story?

So you think news is biased if reported on Fox, but is unbiased if reported elsewhere?
Don't waste your time with sandorski.

He's never going to sway from his position. He's Canadian to boot. He just can't keep his nose out of other people's business.

The first line of his sig pretty much sums it up. 99.5% of his posts are useless.

It's good citizenship to call organizations' lies lies, to call propaganda propaganda, to point out who is the spokeman of an ideology and who pays them and so on.

The next thing, too hard for many, is to separate the claims of such things that are right from wrong.

Turns out, the 'big lie, having the big megaphone, really does let those with it create a lot of belief among the public of lies. The question is how to limit how much they can.

It seems you would benefit from reading a good explorting bias, media, and the money in politics.

There are a lot, but a couple to start with are 'What Liberal Media?' and 'The Right-Wing Noise Machine'.

Just 'not watching' when one group is putting forth harmful ideology and it has the money to push it onto the society isn't much help.

If a 'fascism channel' calling for something you abhor was well funded to get more an mre influential, would you not speak?

Is there such a thing as an unbiased source of news? and I'm not talking about news sources that you agree with the view that they report.

I'm not even sure what you're trying to ask here. A Pitbull attacking Kids is not a Left/Right issue. What may or may not happen to the Pitbull *might* be a Left/Right issue.

You're little Joke assumes a World where everything exists in a Left/Right paradigm. Unfortunately, it does not.

maybe when in opinion mode, fox news should be called fox opinion

the same could be done for cnn etc

it would show an ounce of honesty at least

Media bias? I'm shocked. But isn't it curious that only FOX News is accused. The sweet irony here is that FOX News is getting castigated for their lack of objectivity in a highly opinionated Op-Ed piece. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's probably partisan hackery. Too funny. Further proof against evolution...we're clearly devolving.

The difference is that an Op-Ed piece is just that: An opinion, clearly presented as such, and not disguised as news reportage. The Washington Post routinely publishes columns and Op-Ed pieces by both liberals and conservatives, in roughly equal balance. And the news sections of the Post and New York times are straight-ahead reporting - if you think they're remotely like what passes for "news reportage" at Fox, you're on hallucinogens. And I'm not referring to O'Reilly or Hannity or Beck or the other Fox demagogues, I'm referring to Fox "news," which is filled with slant.

I don't know how many of you are aware of this, but Fox News was actually brought to court by two of their own reporters who tried to publicize the fact that Fox blackmailed them saying they needed to tell lies as news stories and not report on the real scandals they found with their buddy Monsanto, or be fired. Fox admitted to falsifying the news in court!!!. And get this: the court actually ruled that it is not illegal to lie in a news broadcast, and that this is in fact Fox's 1st amendment right! Fox openly admits to firing Jane Akre for refusing to falsify the news.

When asked by a late night talk show host about the reasons for his show's popularity, Jerry Springer replied- "Crap sells."

Which pretty much covers Fox news and commentary, too...

"Obama thugs"? Exquisite denial and obfuscation. Call me when they go to war on false pretenses, out CIA agents, use gay male prostitutes as media shills, move Helen Thomas to the back of the media when she asks questions they dont want to answer, and a few other little things perpetrated by your heroes in the Bush Admin, boomerang...

Lil miss Thomas in here own words... Pretty good zinger at the end by her I might add.

Jhhnn you do realize that if Fox didn't exsist you'd have a circle jerk for Barry right. How'd that be ya think. Even if it is crap it counterbalances well tries to counterbalance the Obama loving media. Ask Clinton if media was in the tank for Obama?
