Ok, I must admidt that I am a lazy bum, I haven't downloaded and installed dev C++ to check it out, but I am just thinking that since it is a free IDE, that i wouldn't come with windows OS headers. I just think that's the sort of thing that comes with MS Visual Studio. Does anyone know?

So I also am curious, if I develop a windows program, and sell it, does MS get some kind of royalty even if i don't use their compiler/IDE because the headers could be liscenced?

You get access to the header files for the Win32API.

No MFC interface.

I believe there are 'plugins' or whatever they're called for some widget sets like GTK+.
