Nice. Was always worried that this was going to turn out a dud, or at best a flawed also-ran. Looks like it's actually quite the opposite.

Plenty of impressions on Gaf. I haven't played it yet. Might get it tonight if I break down. My body is ready.

I hardly think I was being obtuse. Everyone here knows Gamestop sucks. I'd be willing to wager that most, of not all, of the users on all of AT know. My only point was that the information is irrelevant to console players, and there's an entire thread already dedicated to it in PC Gaming. That's all.
 
Whole bunch of meh from me. I picked it up at redbox so it only cost me $2. I want to play it like a shooter but they don't give you enough ammo and if you try and play on the hardest, the only way you will make it through is with stealth, which I just don't enjoy. No biggie, this puppy is getting returned tomorrow.

Did you ever play the original? It definitely is NOT meant to be played like a shooter. It's an RPG first and foremost.

Yeah, but all the preview videos have you choosing to fight it out or sneak around. What they don't tell you is that if you choose to fight through one area, the next area you have to stealth, as you'll be out of ammo and energy.

i never had this issue, you pick up enough ammo and your energy replenishes

You gotta play through it a bit first. It's not an action game a la bulletstorm, Halo, where you can rent it over a weekend, finish it and return it. Once you're hooked, though, it's a blast.

Boy, this game makes me wanna upgrade my pc. I got it for pc and running a 4850 with my old 3800x2. My cpu is such a major bottleneck. It's about that time I guess, I've held off upgrading long enough.
