I remember a large wave of discontent with this game because of the in-game advertising that was rampant in it.
I'll pass because of this...

It was a big deal when the game first came out. The Eidos message boards nearly melted down from all the complaints. I haven't played it since '11 so I don't know if the ads are still in-game or not.
May have to try it out, tho I'm grumbling at the nickel and diming -- already own it on PS3 and Steam and now have to rebuy it a 3rd time?? Maybe I'll wait and see, prolly come free with the next DX anyways...

I've never noticed any "real" ads in game and I've played it through twice.
Is this game 1st or 3rd person?
i've read in the steam forums people saying that the textures are really messed up in the DC version, and that other visual features are not there anymore, but that lightning and characteres do look better
some people were saying that the DC version is in fact the WIIU version ported to pc, instead of impoving upon the PC base game
i was kinda excited about it but after reading that im kinda dissapointed, need to research more
Reading about these problems reminds me of the Divine Divinity re master, where the partially patched game was accidentally used as the base for the re master, reintroducing issues that were fixed years ago. In this case, I believe the DC was again outsourced to Nixxes for the PC version, so it's seems easier for something like this to happen.Yeah I played the DC for only 10 minutes and it was already showing signs of shoddiness and bugs. The music for the walk at the beginning glitched, and the stuttering issues which were patched out of the original game seem to be back with the Director's Cut. I don't feel like playing it until it gets patched.
