Oh, and too bad I finally found all the fan based patches after I'm nearly through beating the game again. :) Maybe I'll keep them around for the next run through.

Wow, the guy even has an updated GLIDE renderer... might have to play it again on my voodoo5 rig one day.

Deus Ex was an awesome game. I should play it again. Does anyone know if I can get the game through steam for free if I've got a cd-key for it already?

Deus Ex didn't come with a CD key so you'll have to repurchase it if you want it from Valve.

Deus Ex didn't come with a CD key so you'll have to repurchase it if you want it from Valve.

It's far better than the original D3D one, both in IQ and performance. There is a newer D3D8 renderer made by the same guy though, which may be equally good. I stick with the OpenGL one since it lets you use the fake bloom shader effects on ATI cards.

The HD texures group hasn't finished everything yet, but it all looks about that good they are 60% ish done according to the site. They are looking for help to if you know unreal1 animation or uv mapping for textures.

sorry for bumping this old thread, but I just downloaded Deus Ex from Gametap for free last night. Does anyone know if these patches and updates will work with the Gametap version?
