Hehe, I better hurry then.

I've had Deus Ex ever since it came out, but I have never, until a couple days ago, gone past the first level! So I have a couple weeks then. :)

It looks like it'll be a worthy sequel to the original, plus the graphics look incredibly decent (which you'd expect from the UT2003 engine).

Unfortunatelly, Europe has to wait till march to play it. But we aint complaining, it means that by the time we do play it, patches will be out to fix all the common bugs.
We dont complain about waiting (although waits like this aint unusual for us). But i seem to remember alot of you US/Canada people complaining on several forums about us getting EF2/JK3 a day before you!. lol.

New preview@Gamehelper ,

The presentation of the game world is lush with advanced shader and lighting effects, and the shadows absolutely must be seen to be believed. The first time I opened a door and saw the shadows gradually shrink away as light spilled into the hallway left me astonished beyond belief.

:)

Unfortunatelly, yes.
Which mean that the interface and various other things have had to be "dumbed" down to cater for console gamers. Its a bad thing to say i know, but rarely are console games even slightly complex. Hence the removal of the skills and augmentations and replacing them both with BioMods, and the joint ammo for all weapons, which are just two ways that its been "dumbed" down.

BoomAM,that depends on where you order or buy the game from ;),try Strategtic Plus Software(UK based) for UK orders,I believe they have it on pre-order for December 5th at £39.99,they receive the US game products within 2 or 3 days normally of US dates.

I`ve never had any problems with them, and they are easy to reach on the phone (no long waiting in my experience)etc, they even have their own forums now.

I know about the forums, im just registering! lol.
I am heavly considering the option of an import version.
Whys the price £40 though? Bit excessive aint it?
So if i order it and pay for next day delivery, (Total = £45), will i get it on the 3rd Dec then? Bearing in mind that the US release is 2nd dec, and im in the UK.

Yep but it covers their cost and people that order US games want them ASAP so don`t mind the price. It all comes down to when you want the game and if you`re prepared to pay the cost for an early release etc.

I do want DX2 ASAP.
Its the only game that ive ever considered importing. lol.
A "friend" has several "aquired" games, and thinking about it, his sources mean that the games are likely to be US versions. If you catch my drift!

New Preview @ GameSpy
After playing through the first several hours of our "99% complete" version of the sequel, though, Deus Ex: Invisible War (so far) actually seems to be outshining the original. Everything that was cool about the original has been retained, enhanced, and in most cases, streamlined to feel more organic. Except, of course, the storyline and mission structure, which is more convoluted than ever -- and that's a good thing!

Thought i`d beat Mem to the punch! lol.

Ive made a decision on importing DX2.
I`m gonna wait till 27th February 2004. Im not gonna import it.
For 3 reasons.
1) The game is bound to have bugs in it. So hopefully by Feb there`ll be a patch to sort most of them out.
2) I`m upgrading my system early Feb. So i can have a PC that will do the game Justice.
3) It gives me time to replay through DX1, and play through 1080* Avalanche before i get it.

Just thought i`d let you know!
