Lived in Royal Oak for 6 years before I moved to Nashville 3 years ago. Royal Oak is nice in your 20s but I agree that Detroit is a shithole (parts of downtown are nice to visit, but that is about it). Nashville is an amazing city and reminds me every day just how much of a shitty mess SE Michigan is.

Hmm lets see sunshine and the beach or bombed out roads and snow

The moment I REALLY realized Michigan sucked was a couple weeks ago I was on Miami Beach listening to music and I lean up from laying down and see two hot babes had just layed down near me and had their tops off rubbing lotion all over their huge knockers. Then and there the decision was made :D

Don't forget hurricanes.....FL is a hurricane magnet.

Also remember FL's fresh water aquifers are slowly becoming contaminated with farm runoff....the residues from over fertilizing is showing up in the ground water.

And the heat, humidity, the boring flat, flat, flat terrain, a demographic that's becoming older and older, esp. during the winters, all conspire to make FL a less than desirable place to live. I managed to survive almost 4 years living in the St. Pete/Tampa/Orlando area and have no urge to ever move back down there.

But, good luck down there. Buy some guns....you'll probably need them.

Beautiful? Not really.. Ann Arbor is nice.. I live in Plymouth and that is somewhat nice. And last time I checked I was entitled to an opinion.

Must be the down river people getting all butt hurt.

Nope wing and a miss.. Downriver? Please... Yes, you are entitled to your opinion just I am entitled to agree with you but then we'd both be wrong... Sounds like Michigan is too confusing for ya, Florida might suit your speed better...

Yes my dick likes tanned beach babes that are actually in shape. Not the giant beasts we have here in MI.

Now you are just being silly... I have been all over the country and the Detroit area has some of the best looking women, shapely women around. Make sure you knock that sang out of your vag before you return to sunny Florida!!

Hmm lets see.. I love weather so hurricanes is no issue. Ground water is contaminated all over the country.. we all will get cancer blah blah. The heat im used to and SEMI is nothing but flat boring land. You lived in orlando and hated it? NO WAYYY.. who the hell would want to live in the center of florida.

And I already have an "assault" rifle so thats all set.

I can't understand why people move to Florida like it's an escape from the shitty place they left. I guess the tourist attractions leave a nice impression for a visit, but live here for a while and you'll see.

For some people, good weather trumps just about any problem.

Detroit metro has its nice areas and its bad areas just like any other major city. Detroit just has more of the bad than the rest. But yeah, just takes effort to live in the nice places.

I agree, I've been in Florida since I was 6 and hate it more every year. It's nice being close to some beautiful beaches and the winter is nice. But there is really no seasons, the people are whack or one foot in the grave. Also don't plan on going outside for 7 months out of the year. The bugs suck, and oh the love bugs, they are lovely.

Probably wouldn't want to live in Detroit either but I'd escape somewhere better than here!
