Quadruple OT!
I can't remember the last time I seen a quadruple OT game.

Whose the guy on the stars with the full metal face shield? I dont think Ive seen anyone do that before in teh NHL.
Um... can't think of name atm, but the wear them on face injuries. Perhaps broken eye bone. (occurlaur bone?)

guy with the cage is Robidas, I'm not familiar with why he wears it, though.

edit: broken nose from a puck to the face apparently Text

STARS WIN! IN QUADRUPLE OVERTIME
GO ON THE FACE WINGS!

Now I gotta go back to rooting for my hometown wings.

GO WINGS!

Alright, my buddies and I really believe turco was underrated, and that he deserved better than the media would give him. Last season I think he proved he was the goaltender to lead a team. I like turco quite a bit but more than anything I hate him right now. He was absolutely amazing and not that nabakov was outplayed (as he did amazing as well) but turco was just unbelievable. Try as dallas did to give San Jose chances, Turco kept them in it and it appears for the long run.

I don't feel as bad about the sharks loss. I still think this should have been theirs and dallas playing out of their minds (usually) plus the sharks playing like they play during the season (inconsistant - bad with streaks of brilliance) it made this game interesting.

My butt is now sore from watching that whole affair. I'm sure when I read this post in the morning I'm going to not understand half of what I wrote so please forgive me if it doesn't make sense. Sharks out of the playoffs in quad overtime + tired from moving all day probably makes me babble.

John, wherever you are, I guess we'll have another glass of second round exit ale, and one day can sip champagne 🙁

Heartbreaking loss. 🙁

Good game by both teams. Best of luck to the Stars though I don't think they have it in them to beat the Wings. I'll still be around but I'll be rooting for the Pens. I can't bring myself to root for either of the West teams to win it all.

Go Pens! 😉

I was at the Anaheim vs Stars Playoff game that went 4 OT's as well...back in 02 or 03...last call was at the 15 minute mark of the 3rd period...most of the concessions closed shop after the 1st OT (at least at the upper level)...stars ended up losing that game. 🙁

Great game, I thought the Sharks would win with their PP in the 3rd OT. I'm kind of glad the Stars won, it might help renew that small(?) rivalry between the Red Wings and them.

Red Wings in 6.

Is he OK?

Also Save of the year? The entirely stadium thought it was a goal.

He didn't return. That happened with seconds left in regulation. Clean hit, but I don't think he knew how little time was left on the clock. He should have just let it go since the buzzer went off right as the hit occured. Oh well. He has all summer to heal I guess. 🙁

Actually he did return, they showed him walking down an aisle with the doctor, wearing an unbuttoned shirt and wearing an arm sling still don't know what his injury was though.

Morrow made the right play. There was over 10 seconds left in the game when the hit happened and they were buzzing in the Stars zone. Great play by Morrow unfortunately for Michalek he got injured.

Great game last night though. I watched until the end of 3OT then started playing TF2. I checked back and the Stars had just won. Detroit-Dallas will be a good series if Turco plays like that.

His name is Stephane Robidas, he wore a plastic shield until he got nailed by a puck in game 5 of the Stars/Ducks series. The shot was a clearing shot but Roby kept it in and got his nose broke in the process 🙁 But he's still playing, kicking @$$ and taking names!

Insane game last night, I stayed up till wayyyy past my bed time watching and it was a true heavyweight bout!

GO STARS!!! I BELIEVE!!!
