The guy just comes back from sitting for 6 games for concussion like symptoms and you punch him in the face? Thats some cheap shit. Pens are acting like little kids who cant stand losing now that they are actually playing someone.

It was a cheap shot, but if you look at the replay, franzen took a dive after the hit. It really wasn't that hard of a punch.

Ozzie had a pretty weak dive too but if that's all the Pens got to concentrate on then they don't even deserve to be there.

I'm pretty pissed off. I was really hoping to see some good hockey. Rooting for the Pens for game 3. In the name of good hockey, please please can this at least go 6? WTF

edit: oh yeah and Malkin is a tard for saying how "tired" he was before game 2. WTF kid?! way to undermine your team before the puck even drops.

Yeah, ozzie had a dive, and there were missed calls on both sides of the puck, but none of it would make a difference for how shitty the pens are playing.

I'm hoping they can get out of their funk on home ice, and at least take it to 6 games. At this point though it's looking pretty bleak.

But, Datsyuk going all Englewood Jack at the end of the game was heartening. I don't think European/Russian players fully appreciate the momentousness of the Stanley Cup until they've been here a few years. Pavel seems to have a fire in his belly that might burn for a few years.

I see the Wings/Pens rivalry getting interesting over the next few years. And that ain't bad.

I doubt there will be ANY rivalry with the Pens. They have 10 unrestricted free agents at the end of the year. Given the Pens history, I doubt they'll be back in the Finals next year.

yeah. i've given up on seeing a good series (obviously). now i'm hoping for one or two good GAMES. Detroit is simply too dominant so far. they don't make mistakes and they make you PAY when you do.

it's pretty crazy to think about how long their good players are sticking around for, and how retardly awesome they are at drafting. Franzen goes down, Helm comes in and plays good. it wouldn't surprise me if their FIFTH line worked the crap out of the Pens. what an amazing system & program. look at guys like Draper and Maltby. just in for the long haul and loving it.

I stayed with my buddy in Flint.

I honestly felt like the area was safe and that they are really doing a lot to revitalize it. We took the people mover and walked around downtown after both games. We also walked back to the parking deck after celebrating at the Old Shillelagh and I never felt like it was a bad place or that we were in danger.

Regardless....I thought the east would have a chance (especially the Penguins) but it looks like we might have a sweep....but what is even better is it might be a shutout/sweep. The Wings are 2-0 and have shut out both games.

Has a team ever won the Stanely Cup by not only sweeping but shutting the opposing team out completely?
