Each game the Wings have played I'm astounded at the amount of talent. Does anyone else think that tonights game was sort of a 'message' game to the Philly/Pitt series that, no matter who is coming out of that series, that the Western representative will be JUST as physical? I saw a lot of similar plays from last nights game tonight.

I love to sit at seats just like that. I can see the play developing much better than sitting behind the net or right along the boards. Great seats man!
I just wish I lived closer to Detroit. Right now it's about a 12 hour drive for me. I'd be in line getting Finals tickets right now. Then, perhaps, organize a little ATOT Detroit Riot Squad/meet.

Pens look really,really, really good tonight, oh well maybe next year for my boys....
As I see it, nobody should complain about calls and non-calls because basically they even out over time, and injuries, well injuries happen and thats the way it is, I am sure that at this point most every player out there is nicked up to some level. So I would just hope that people would stop complaining about every little thing and just enjoy the games because this is the best hockey of the year and all of this backbiting is a little tiresome.
Overall I can't complain getting to the ECF 1 season removed from the disaster of last year is an accomplishment.
The really interesting thing will be to see how things go from here. with salary cap issues and free agency, especially other teams trying to poach key RFAs, it will be very tricky to build a team with free agents because if you cap out and lose flexibility to pay the up and coming RFAs you have to start again basically with draft picks.
Pens and Wings looks like the SCF matchup and it should be really really entertaining.
2 teams that can run and gun or play shutdown defense. I don't think the NHL could have gotten a better matchup if they tried.
A note to Pens fans, enjoy your team's run and on another side note, have a little decorum and class in victory, not all Flyer's fans are jerks, only most of us! 😉
And another note to my fellow Flyers fans.....STOP COMPLAINING. Our boys did alright this season, unfortunately, and I have to say this, if you thought we had any chance of winning the cup this year, please pass me some of what you are smoking.

All I know is someone must have given the refs hell last night after that string of weak-ass hooking calls they made in the first period, cuz there wasn't another penalty called the rest of the game.

From Central NJ actually...how I got to be a Flyers fan, I can thank my dearly departed grandfather for that. My earliest sports memories are watching the Broad Street Bullies raising the cup.
One thing I think all hockey fans can agree on is that the refs in the NHL are horribly inconsistent.

Man, I'm getting sick of watching these games on versus, they're terrible.
For example game 3 wing vs stars.
I just loved how they felt the need to hunt down some cage fighter dude at the game in the audience and interview him midway into the 3rd period while the game is being played and not like at a postgame show, intermission, or commercial break.
or how they feel the need to show the goal replays like 20 times per period, just show the replays of the ones that happened in that period and recap the others during intermission and post game.
or when they feel the need to talk about a players stats during game play that they must show a huge ass display that takes up 1/3 of the screen. Once again, this is what pregame, intermission, and postgame is for.
or when the period is coming to a close they need to tell you what is coming up during intermission they decided to fill up 3/4ths the game with the dude at the desk talking and versus related crap everywhere while the game is being played. Again just place a small window at the bottom when you come back from commercial break (you know when their showing the sponsors and those arena shots for like 10 seconds) or right when the period ends right before they go to a commercial break.
I hope next year ESPN, FSN, NBC, or anyone but versus picks up a contract to air games.
