And here's me thinking you meant the old Detroit game...

I did love making cars and lots of money.

Spoken like a true elitist. Nobody playing the game will care. It looks good.

I'll care, so you're demonstrably wrong. And more so these days other gamers are starting to understand why >30fps matters and why native 1080p matters.

I actually really like the Quantic dream games, one of the main reasons I got my PS3 was for a handful of excellent exclusive games such as Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two souls.

But look...this is no reason to forgive the almost inevitable fact that these kind of games will likely run at only 30fps with frame rate dips and stuttering on top of that, and likely not even be in 1080p, much less anything higher like 4k. A PC release would be ideal if they could swing that.

When you play a game on a console you count pixels to check what resolution it's at? That's the point. Once you start playing the game all that stuff should be tossed out and the focus should be on the gameplay and story. I play a lot of console games and I never think the game is bad because it's not at a specific resolution etc.

If this was in any way congruent with reality we'd all still be using 640x480 screens and never bother upgrading anything ever. Quality matters to basically everyone, even those people who refuse to admit it.

Most people with healthy eyesight can tell the difference in resolution without having to count pixels, the day we can't is the day it finally wont matter. That's a lot way off.

That's a fallacy. Resolution only matters to a point. Who wants to play a game that looks like it's from 1996 at 4k? That's pointless. There is a lot of room for graphics to improve at 1080p which is better than seeing a game that looks bad at a higher resolution.

For the record: I only play games on the PC. I just thought the graphics and characters
looked incredible. I also suspected that the game would only be a PS4 exclusive.
Also, not a "graphics most important" person, either... game play and story are most important to me. As an aside; any PC games graphically comparable to this? Especially the facial expressions on the characters.

I get as much joy out of the same games on my laptop vs desktop. Like others, quality only matters to a certain point.

Every time I see the name Detroit, or references made to it (the city) I immediately think about RoboCop (this had nothing to do with this thread's main subject I'm aware, but I still had to mention it). On a side note, yeah it looks cool.

Like this comment: "the goal in the game is to live in Detroit for a week without killing yourself, the sequel will be in Cleveland" :D

I've been looking forward to this since I first saw a teaser a year or so ago. Really loved Heavy Rain, but Beyond: Two Souls didn't keep me as engrossed although admittedly I played it at a much busier time in my life when I couldn't just sit and binge play.
