Prime opportunity for a Movie Set(s). Someone needs to make an Epic City Battle movie with lots of explosions.
What a load of partisan shit. :awe:

Detroit's problems go beyond liberals, the auto industry, the UAW, etc.
In 1967 we had the riots. All the whites left over the next 20 years. Those semi-affluent blacks that were left also fled the city to the burbs to flee from crime.
The production of vehicles has never been concentrated just in the city proper. The slow demise of the domestic auto industry over the last 30 years has probably brought more economic pressure to all areas at the bottom of the economic ladder more so than others and Detroit has suffered. Detroit has never been much to look at for the last 40 years and now it is worse than ever.
The UAW, socialism/entitlements, and racism of both whites and blacks haven't helped things either.
Save your breath Squisher. You are dealing with a bunch of immature morons.D:

Correct...and UAW people typically support and vote for...whom? (hint: not anyone conservative)No, the people that ruined Detroit are the UAW members. They alone caused the downfall. Sky high labor rates forced the big 3 to cut costs in materials and quality of their products.
By the sounds of it, people are already directing these movies, just without cameras. Get some high def 3D pics in there and with enough editing you got yourself an action flick.Prime opportunity for a Movie Set(s). Someone needs to make an Epic City Battle movie with lots of explosions.
I have no idea what the problem is as a single cause. I'm positive there isn't one, rather a multitude of issues. I can say with certainty that if I lived there I'd do everything I could to leave. You can't keep betting on a lame horse. Other than cheap real estate there's nothing going for it. I feel bad for those who want to leave but lack the means. For those who have the means and don't want to, I hope they never pity themselves, for they don't deserve the pity. These immature children trolling don't have the faintest bit of comprehension how totally heartbreaking what's gone on in Detroit is. I've lived within 20 miles of it for almost 40 years, and have seen it go downhill.
It's far more complicated than their glib and idiotic replies about the UAW, the Government, or any other one factor.
But let them sit behind computers and make snide comments without understanding the problem. *snip*
