Detonator Driver Woes

Hi, i have the Geforce 2 GTS,Anihilator (32mb DDR ram) AGP. When i install the drivers that came on the original cd it works fine. When i remove those drivers and upgrade to latest ones (both detonators from nvidia.com and the vendor specific updated drivers) it only gives me access to 640X480(i have access to all the color depths). Before installing ne drivers ive completely removed all traces of previous drivers (drive cleaner). Only reason im upgradeing is because i need newer version of the drivers to fix a bug in the game i play. Using direct x 9.0a. Any insight would be most helpfull.

Unfortunately, sometimes the newest drivers are not
neccessarily the best answer.

What game and bug are you encountering?
(might be another work around)

The lastest should work fine ,they do with my GF2 Ti card,if you was using different drivers like Creative drivers and Nvidia drivers then it`s possible there might be some old files still in the registry,Driver Cleaner 1.4 should of done a good job of removing all traces.

You can try installing latest monitor drivers for your monitor.Also I always check and make sure the Nvidia folder and contents are deleted before I install any new Nvidia drivers.
