Detonator 6.35, 6.47, 7.17 drivers, what r the difference.

What is the difference btwn them?

I am using 6.35 DX7a
Should i change to 7.17 and using DX8
cuz i saw an earlier post that 7.17 with DX8 is slower than before.

I'm running DirectX 8 and Nvidia 6.47, playing UT, THINGS R AOK, but with 7.17 I gets a preformance hit, read this article, comparing Nvidia 6.2x drivers with 7.17.
