Detonator 3 driver

hi, can anyone let me know if these drivers will work with direct x 8 or is it just for
direct x 7?? & if it will be ok for my video card,i have a asus 6600 geforce.

how are these drivers?? right now i'm using the original
drivers that came with the asus board. will there be a
performance improvement or should i just stay with what i
have? what is the diff on the 2 downloads,(on the nvidia site) exe. file
& zip?

The det 3 series offered quite a substantial performance improvement over the pre det 3 drivers for geforce family of cards.

I think the only diff between the exe and zip is that the exe are for people who don't have an unzip utility. Just a self extracting exe I guess.
