Detonator 12.00 for Win9x and Win2k

Win2k Swallows donkey ball's ejaculate when it comes to gaming, the HZ are all messed up & twinview is not good.

Im sticking with Win98se for now untill Nvidia or M$ fixes those big bugs.

LOL!!! 🙂 Win2k works fine for me. All of my games run just fine in Win2k on my 64MB GeForce2 GTS

Hurts my eyes to play Madden 2K1 on Win 2K. However, I have a 16MB STB TNT1. Maybe the new drivers will help. I'm not holding my breath.

Hey, anyone know of a REAL cheap video card that would be an upgrade from my STB Velocity 4400? It's good enough for me, but it's so old, I bet a $75 cheapo might be better.

What i like to do i watch a movie with TV-out fullscreen at 640X480-32 on my TV while surfing the forums on my Monitor at 1024X768.

And i wish Win2k could do that i really do but i cant.🙁

And when i play games i dont want to fight to get rid of the 60HZ bug,so win98 will do for now.

I dont know who's responsible M$ or Nividis but those things dont work for me in Win2k,so i'll stick with 98 for now.

I`m with Win98 still as well which is rock solid on my rig(I`m a gamer) probably go with WinXP if it`s good, but only if it`s stable for gaming.I`m still waiting for the next official drivers from Nvidia which should be out soon(I hope).

🙂

Rob9874,

In win2k it hurts your eyes because it defaults to 60HZ yuck.

if it's a D3D game you can fix this in DXDIAG & ovveride the HZ but if it's opengl you cant. 🙁

The 60Hz bug??? There has been a fix for that for the past 6-7 months. It's called NVReffix. Do a search for it on FileFlash. Here, I'll save you the trouble:

<< Windows 2000 NVidia Refresh Rate Fix is a program which provides a way to change the default 60Hz refresh rate under Windows 2000 running OpenGL/Direct3D games with NVidia display adapters. >>

http://fileflash.com/index.aspx?action=info&program=934

NFS4,

i know about that NVReffix but it's still a bug that needs to be fixed,win98 doesnt have that problem,if it was only that i could live with Win2k.

But that Twinview that's not fully functional i cant stand to live without,in win2k all i can do is clone & stretch my desktop & they cant do 640x480 on TV-out & 1024X768 on my desktop at the same time. 🙁

I can now run DX6 games perfectly with these drivers. DX6 games would either crash or not load at all with the 10 and 11 drivers.

Woah! I just checked out Unreal Tournament with these drivers and FSAA 4X is so sharp now. Check out the UI with it on. It almost made it seem that the FSAA was off, but everything rendered was definatly 4X FSAA.

Got a stupid question here......but just want to be sure before I screw up the guys system!😉 OK, I'm working on a neighbors system this evening for basicly nothing.....he has a Geforce SDR.....you know, one of those first Geforce cards......anyhoo, will the 12.00's work with this card or do I have to go find drivers just for it????? I can't recall and I saw this thread so I thought I'd ask and try to save some time!🙂

All this talk about the driver but no talk about how it performs? 🙂 Someone gives us some numbers and results on stability!

6417 Asus 6.3.1

Running under Windows ME, T-bird 950, Abit KT7-RAID, Asus V7700 GTS 64 DDR, 256 meg Micron PC100
