Determining CPU stepping w/o looking at CPU?

ugh

Hi folks,

I was wondering if it's possible to obtain the CPU stepping w/o looking at the physical CPU. Are there any software which I can d/l to do so?

Thanks!

rgreen83: The steppings like JIUHB.

Neway, d/lded CPU-Z. It only gives you the "actual" stepping if I'm not wrong.

Impossible. Only the core revision.

Intel Boxed processors have the sSpec and batch info printed on the box. AMD on the other hand, didn't last time I bought a processor of theirs (1700+)

That's all right. Just been trying to get the FSB of my old AXP1600+ to 166. But somehow something is crapping out. Using a DDR333 and a Epox-8KHA+. Tried loads of settings e.g. Vcore, DIMM voltage and relaxing mem timings. Nothing works.
