Hey,
I just got a geforce4 ti4200 from a friend and want to make sure its the 128 mb version. I am running windows 2000 professional if anyone knows of a way to check this in windows, or is there a program somewhere out there to find out?
I remember for the warcraft III beta test form they were able to detect the video memory you had... so there is probably a program that does it. Thanks for any help in advance.
Also, i tried posting this in the video forum, but no one wants to respond there, so i am tryin it here for the smart guys in Off Topic.

Doesn't your bios show it on bootup ? If not and you are using windows:

Right click anywhere on desktop - Settings Tab - Advanced Button - Adapter Tab

That should provide you details on your card.

when you boot up your computer isn't there a quick flash of what the card is and how much memory is on it?

if not then you could always right click on the desktop --> properties --->settings --> advanced and the information should be in one of the tabs.

edit: errr jinx to NetworkDad

To answer your question, "How do you check it in WINDOWS?"

Do the following...

Right Click on your desktop to bring up the Display Properties
Click on the Settings tab at the top
Click on Advanced in the bottom right hand corner
Click on the Adapter tab at the top
Then, under Adapter Information, it should list video Memory Size

EDIT: If your video drivers arent installed it might not show the correct information.
