I wonder why it gives items for other classes. I would have thought, and maybe this is something they adjust leading to release, that you'd get items that your current class could use.
Probably so you can trade loot like most other MMO or MMO lite games like this is.

Solo'd the moon mission on level 9 difficulty. I liked it. Nice mission. Managed to solo a gold level daily event in it by using a pike and running circles around the guy constantly firing.

Those pikes are pretty over powered but it's probably just at these low levels but you can easily run circles around enemies with it and avoid getting hit.

They said you can't trade stuff cause they don't want item duping and want the joy of finally getting a rare item to not be lost by someone giving it to you.

They did say it could be a possibility later but from day 1 it isn't in.

I wasn't aware that public events have an actual level tier. I know some are more difficult than others though. I have gotten a bronze and silver before when I failed to complete an objective. Gold is when you win.

This is completely random, but the more time I spend in the Tower listening to the music and running around, the more it feels like a cross between Star Trek and Epcot. Just thought I would throw that out there.

Is it just me, or do proper responses to vehicles seem sort of lacking?

I went on a huge killing spree with the interceptor because each rocket 1 hit kills, it seems to home in at least slightly, and nobody could kill me fast enough before I could kill them.

Deej on bungie.net said that they are giving the interceptor a big Nerf before release.

Epcot eh? Lol...I get the star trek vibe a bit though. The science part of it has a similar feel to me.

I missed the Moon mission :-( :-( :-(

EDIT I saw the announcement in game about the iron banner opening and thought that's the only thing they would do... So I signed off and went to play Infamous :-(

One area per planet, they will probably be milking the hell out of it with dlc

Some people on that thread are idiots. There are areas blocked off in the map, the area will be multiuple times bigger. Bungie said this. Yet some joker says "so the beta is the whole map in the full game."

Uh...no

The best post is here.

It has been pretty clear that there was only going to be 1 area per planet in the Alpha and Beta, and if you thought that there would be more, you've been fooling yourself. Yes, there has been concept art of more, but nothing was ever 100% confirmed in the game and we never saw any game footage beyond Venus, Mars, Moon, Earth, Tower, Reef and Mercury ( which is still in the game as an arena for the 'Crucible elite' with exclusive rewards ).

Also, you gotta love how some people make assumptions on how the final game will play based on a level-capped Beta with areas we can't properly explore because they are guarded by Lv.?? enemies ( Grottos ), at least three fully blocked off areas ( Seraphim Vault, Jovian Complex, King's Vault ), limited gear ( only Common and Uncommon ) and not much use yet for some of the stuff you get due to the level cap ( Materials / Crucible / Vanguard Marks ).

There are legitimate criticisms and concerns, yes, but this jumping to conclusions and making assumptions needs to stop. People are talking like the relative lack of things to do in the Beta ( *cough* Level cap *cough* ) somehow will be this massive problem in the full game, but they forget that in the full game, you don't stop at level 8. The stuff we had available to us after hitting the cap in the Beta is not representative of the final game, because in the final game, the endgame doesn't start at level 8, it starts at level 20. The lack of stuff to do when you're capped at 8 in a Beta doesn't say anything about the actual lv.20 endgame in the final game.

But no, 'the gameplay is so shallow' and there is 'no incentive to explore' and 'there's so little content' and 'there's nothing to do', etc.

Whatever..

As a consumer I understand always wanting more. However, just from the beta not counting the one moon mission I got a little over 20 hours of gameplay.

So if there is 5 times the content in the full game I get 100 hours of gameplay for 60 dollars. This doesn't include playing raids and the crucible over and over again. There is also a good chance that you will make more than one character and that you will want to play the story more than once in your lifetime. This multiples the amount of gameplay exponentially, it's also free to play forever once you buy it.

$60 for all of that, and were complaining? The consumer isn't always right.

People pay for a new 60 dollar Call of Duty and Assassins creed every year. Looking forward to all of Destiny's content come September.

I don't take neogaf threads so seriously. I mean the people are whining like little brats.

What they mean is one explore area per planet I hope. From this I guess there will be 6-7 missions, a strike , and a raid on each planet hopefully.

Although Activision is known for milking content. Kind of disappointed about earth being only old Russia as I've spent hours on it already. So all that will be left is to do the story missions and get more items from the area that is blocked off now.

Makes sense for the level 20 cap. Even so, if it really is that bad you will be able to trade it in at best buy for 30-40 bucks if finished quickly.

Also I watched the actual interview in question. DeeJ was asked a leading question about is there only one area to explore on each planet and he said "yeah, we call them destinations...you have earth, the moon etc" like he was pushing the question aside and changing the subject. He never actually confirmed anything there. He did say that most of the moon was walled off. So everyone in those threads claiming to see the whole map in 15 minutes don't know what they are talking about.

The internet strikes again.

Do remember too that they were able to open up the iron banner at will. It's entirely possible for Bungie to suddenly add some new mission for people to do, at any time. Special events and the like.

How does this game look on ps4? I'm playing on ps3 right and frankly find it rather ugly. Also mildly annoying I can see certain enemies, but the bullets won't hit them if I'm too far away. Otherwise enjoying it, but I might like it better on PC. Fps games with controllers have always given me issues.
