Why read a site that has such idiotic posts such as:

Link (NSFW)

Compared to some of the posts here and in P&N it is not that far out there. Perhaps you should reign in your bigotry before declaring what is a crappy post. As it stands that post was made to help stem the flow of "I masturbate" posts in that forum making it to more of a soft core erotic porn forum than anything else. I can understand you not being to see this as I am sure your "omg religion is awfull!!!" attitude might of blinded your ability to see outside the box.

I was wondering who stole my "Jump to Conclusions" mat. :p

Actually I was addressing Fenixgoon who said he claims to be a Christian but is then quoted as saying that he "Doesn't give a f--". As for judging, I was not judging. Just because I don't commit the same sins as people here doesn't mean I don't sin or that I am any better than any other person-- I make mistakes all the time.

What sets a true Christian apart is that he asks forgiveness when he does wrong.

i was raised catholic, went to church for a solid 18 years. i don't have much against religion itself, but i do not like the idea of church - i feel my faith/spirituality is much more personal, and is better expressed through my actions and interactions with others.

i am not saying i'm perfect - no one is. but i don't think there is any "one" right religion. there are elements of truth to all religions, IMO, especially when you look at christianity, judaism, and islam next to each other.

a wise history teacher of mine said of those three...

"in the end, we're all waiting for the same person. we just disagree on how many times they've already come"

so to that end, i cannot understand why some people are so adamant they that are "right" and others *must* be "wrong"

While some similarities exist, you are glazing over the bigger picture about each religion.

Judaism is most definitely not waiting for the same thing as Christianity-- they are still waiting for the first coming of the messiah.

Christians believe that Jesus was the messiah and has already come and as was foretold by him he will come again to judge the living and the dead.

Islam, I am not 100% sure, but don't they preach religious intolerance in the Qu'ran? Not only that their fundamental set of beliefs are vastly different than Christianity and Judaism (<- These two share a few beliefs).

You can be a good moral person without believing in solely one person-- but religious people acknowledge that there is, indeed, a God who set forth that set of morals.

did you read the quote at all? christianity, judaism, and islam, all who believe in the same monotheistic god, are all waiting for a savior. as i quoted my teacher,

"the only real difference is we disagree on how many times he's come"

overall the three faiths share *much* in common - in fact, it is in the bigger picture that the three become similar, whereas looking at the details - they are all quite distinct.

hell, christianity and islam are both *rooted in judaism*

I quickly realized that it was caused by my son (16 years old) penetrating me anally. I was so shocked I pretended to still be asleep because I did not know how to deal with it at the time. But the next night, I found myself not taking my pills on purpose so that I could stay awake and relish every moment of that sweet ass pounding.

That's actually how I was expecting it to end. Now that would be a good troll post, maybe a little too obvious though. :p

Ahahahaha! That's kinda hot...

I don't get the animosity people have against psychologists. They really do help people.

because some of psychology seems like a crock of shit. there's a point where actions simply come down to the individual's personality, IMO.

and btw, they do have psychologists who can prescribe medication.. they are psychiatrists, IIRC.

Irritable leg syndrome FTW?

i often tap my feet very quickly when sitting :D

There is something known as restless leg syndrome (RLS), which I'm guessing is to what you were referring, and which--as far as I know, although my area of specialty doesn't deal with sleep disorders--is a significantly disturbing condition. My limited amount of knowledge would suggest that it has something to do with areas of the cerebellum not properly/fully inhibiting movement of the legs while sleeping, resulting in frequent jerks/spasms and subsequent waking. This generally leads to individuals not feeling rested upon waking.

As for the difference between psychiatrists and psychologists, as the quoted poster mentioned, psychiatrists attend medical school while psychologists attend graduate school. At the moment, Louisiana and New Mexico are the only two states that license psychologists to prescribe medication after they've completed the equivalent of a master's degree in psychopharmacology. However, I believe only Louisiana has actually granted any such licenses as of yet.

Cliffs?

Still not available after registering, either.

Thread was probably locked. That's just probably the default error message that they use since they are to lazy to come up with another.
