DESPERATE!!! how to remove the singer's voice when playing back Mp3

I remember there was a post about how to remove the singer's voice when playing back Mp3. Can't seem to find it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

there's a plugin for winamp, AnalogX Vocal Remover
only removes sounds from the center channel though...

It is actually nearly impossible without the master recordings. Yes ActiveX has something that works for winamp but all it is is a Filter that cuts-out the frequencies where the program "thinks" the vocals fall in. Unfortunately it cuts out a lot of the sound of the song and usually just sounds like ass.
