Go over with his house with your parents and/or cops with paypal reciepts and take back everything you have proof YOU paid for.

Ok, thanks. I think I can take back the materialistic items such as the PSP and those anime dvds but I don't really have use for them.

right now, I'm planning on using small claims court. Since I'm under 18, I'll be using a guardian ad litem.

Since there is no contracts involved and you made the purchase.. Couldn't you claim the item was stolen? Bring your receipts to his house, start a commotion, then call 911 saying that you were trying to get your things back and you're afraid a fight will break out. The police will help you solve it :D. Its pretty extreme, but may work.

But what about it being rightfully yours since you have the receipt? Couldn't you sue the kid for not rightfully returning your item (edit: nevermind - underage bastard)? Or put in a police report for stolen goods?

He stopped paying you and you kept buying stuff for him?
Consider it a hard learned life lesson and move on.

Or get a lawyer.

Are you alluding to a necessity to be wise to pass high school? Any buffoon can make it through H.S.
Not all high school graduates are capable of getting into a college, unless it's a junior college (aka Grade 13).

what gets me is not that you bought the stuff for the kid...

it's that you bought it before he paid you! WTF!? even when i build computer for people i trust, I don't buy one thing until I have the money and the check has cleared. It's just common sense.

and as someone pointed out, it's illegal for you to use eBay in the first place, and probably illegal for you to use paypal, too.

basically, i think you're going to have to start breaking some knees if you want your money back.

1. You're stupid.
2. You're fvcked. In general, minors are not bound by contract law. They have the Right to Disaffirm Right to Disaffirm (renounce) a contract. That's why most businesses won't agree to contracts (e.g. leases) with minors.

As a side note, an oral contract is generally as legally binding as a written one...assuming that you can prove that it exists.

That being said, the kid's parents should make him give you all the stuff you bought for him. At least you can eBay it. If they won't do that, fvck up their car several times (assuming a $500 deductible for each event).
