Hehe, reminds me of the time I ran 100m (yes, meters) of CRAPPY ethernet cable from a CRAPPY router across two buildings to share internet with my uncle while I was overseas. It wouldn't connect at first, so I set everything to 10 Mbps instead of 100 and it worked fine! Fun times. Trying to play BF2 from the West Bank = hella lag though, even with DSL. Being halfway across the world from my favorite server did not help.
