First of all, lay off the coffee my man. Second of all, I don't give a rat's ass whether people buy Cat5, Cat6 or whatever. I was only making a point that instead of going apeshit and rigging up a ghetto ethernet cable you could have just spent $20, which is most likely cheaper than a wireless card, and have gotten yourself a somewhat dependable network.

Lay off the drugs. Also the patch job looks pretty good, but I would just buy a longer cord.

You could have just bought another router, flashed it with DD-WRT and turned it into a wireless bridge that connects your non-wireless computer wirelessly with your main router.
